How can I stop this... Writer insists on paragraph indent at -5.13 cm?

When I hit return, cursor moves to the left of the entire page. I checked paragraph and indentations and keep trying to change it back to 0.0 but it keeps changing it back to -5.13 cm…

I don’t know how to fix this.

I already did a restart in safe mode and also then reinstalled libre and it’s still doing it.

Have you inspected the default style? Press F11, secondary click in Default Style (under Paragraph Styles), choose Modify…, choose the Indents & Spacing tab, and see the value next Before text:.
