I am writing a manuscript, and I need to left-justify it, so my editor can write annotations on a copy. How do I do it? Is it by indent a paragraph? If it is by indenting a paragraph, how many inches or centimetres?
Please, are going the editor to handwrite the annotations or with LibreOffice or with other program?
Greetings m.a.riosv! My editor prefers to do handwritten annotations, that’s why I’m asking because I want to make it easier for the both of us.
By default when you create a new Writer document text is left justified to the left margin. If you want to have a larger space at the left hand side for your editor to mark comments just set a left margin to a width of your choice in
Format>Page>Page Tab>Margins>Left
.
Thank you! Another question if you answer me: If my editor makes annotations on both sides, do I have to modify the left and right margins?
If your editor requires to make annotations on both sides you can leave space on the right hand side too by increasing the right margin. Ask the editor how much space to leave for annotations.
Thank you peterwt!
