The document attached to How can I remove unused currencies? - #12 by Villeroy shows a serious issue preventing the use of cell styles. It has nothing to do with the user defined toolbar. Just select some rectangle of cells right of column C and try to apply any cell style. It just does not happen. I can’t find anything in the issue tracker nor do I find any mistake in my sample document. Yes, I tried a new profile for my LO 7.6.2 and I tried on Linux and Windows. And I tried OpenOffice which works normally.
tdf#153527? (a guess without looking at the document, so might be completely off)
Nope. The user who filed issue#153527 expects hard formatting attributes expanding automatically without insertion of columns and rows. IMHO, this is a wrong expectation. Please download my small document with cell styles in A1:C20. Select D1:F20 (or any other range at the right) and apply any cell style. The cell style remains “Default”.
Now select some range below, say C22:G40 and apply some cell style. This will format the selection’s intersection with the used range. namely C22:C40.
I tried with EOL style, and it seems to work.
No, it only works with a single-cell selection. Sorry. A clear bug.
Cannot reproduce, I’m only recognize a lag because of recalculating the random-numbers.
with me:
i can reproduce the Style is only applied from Column with some Data to the left of selection

Thank you. The issue is gone when I replace formulas with values. And it remains absent when I enter the same formulas again.

HOWEVER, on Linux, the issue remains the same.

I created another document on the Windows box, entered another formula =ADDRESS(ROW();COLUMN()) in A1:C20, applied the built-in styles “Good”, “Neutral” and “Bad” and notice the same issue when I try to apply some color style to E1::G20. Replacing formulas with values makes no difference.
This discussion should be moved to the bug tracker.
I can confirm the bug for V7.6.2.1 (x64, Win) and 7.5.4 (32 bit PortableApps).
It does not show under 7.3.6 Portable.
