How can you mark text as being in a language which doesn’t appear in the list of languages? Is there some standard way?
I don’t think it’s possible; you likely need to file an enhancement request to add the required language. Which is that btw?
You cannot apply a language if it is not listed. But what is the purpose?
If your intent is to disable spell-checking in the surrounding language so that your sequence is not erroneously marked as misspelled because the words are not recognised, mark your text as language None.
I use this trick as a catch-all when I don’t want to load dictionaries or when I cite code snippets (computer languages have no dictionaries). Latin expressions like ad nauseam or ad libitum are also marked so.
