I find that when generating a report, I get the option to edit the actual output report using [Edit Document] shown in the upper-right.
This adds much more capability than I have when creating the source report template. Is there a way to turn this capability on when creating/editing the source report template?
Report Builder will only allow the features, which are offered in Report Builder. It will create a Writer (or Calc) document with this features. Writer (and Calc) will offer more features. So you could only add this features by editing the result.
You could edit the result directly (as you did) or by macro.
