I’m making an essay for University and I need to have my citations in the footer of the pages where I refer or quote a source, but these are obviously different for each page. How can I set it up so each page does not have the previous one’s footer?

You want a footnote, not a footer. See link text which describes both footnotes (at the bottom of the page) and endnotes (at the end of the document). At the point of insertion of the reference (in the body of the text), use Insert > footnote/endnote. You will have the options in the resulting dialog to accept manual or automatic footnote numbers or another type of symbol, as well as specifying whether you want a footnote or endnote.
You can insert a manual page break at each page and include in each one a different footer.

Thank you very much for your help, for a long time I could not solve the problem with headers and footers. I create an essay database and write works for my database daily. But I was having issues with different footers on every single page. I could not arrange a large number of, and I can finally do it.
