In a much-older version of LibreOffice, I used inch measurements for everything. Now I’ve upgraded to 6.4.3.2, and a lot of the measurements automatically converted to character-length measurements. While I can set most of the measurements to inches using the compatibility section of the options menu, I can’t figure out how to do this for paragraph indent and spacing.
Char unit gets activated when you enable Asian support ([x]Asian checkbox in Options▸Language Settings▸Languages under Default Languages for Documents).
To return to usual units, uncheck [x] Enable char unit in Options▸Writer▸General.
