How do I create a master slide with certain layout?

In Impress, If I apply a master slide to a slide and the slide has different layout of the layout of master slide, then things are not changed fully right. I need to Slide/Layout/select the layout similar to master slide one to fully apply a master slide.

However, if I View/Master Slide, then right click Slide Pane/New Master, I can only create master slide of, i guess, Table and Content (it is a default) layout master slide, and I can not change the layout.

Windows 11, Libreoffice 7.3.5.2

I want to select the layout when editing an existing Presentation. Thanks!

this bug report I can’t understand it but it looks hard to fix

Current solution:
1 create slide a layout
2 Save as/Save as type: Powepoint 2007-365 .pptx
3 Reload it, I can see a master slide for the layout
4 copy silde between presentations, master slide will be copied with slides

I see, so it is a bug. However, if ‘save to .pptx’ does not offer a master slide with related layout, how do I control layouts of master slides……
