How do I create a writer document within a folder

This is no LO-specific question.

Open Writer and start a new document. When you File>Save, the dialog allows you to navigate to the desired folder. Some OS’s even allow you to create new folders from the dialog.

If you don’t know how to do that, read basic tutorials about computer usage.
