How do I create my own color palette for fonts in Writer?

Colors for fonts are the same as for lines and fillings. The files are in the installation directory in share > palette; those with filename extension soc. Make a copy of such a file and add it with a new name. Open the new file in an editor and set your desired colors and color-names. You can find the color numbers in the dialog, which you get, when you click on “Custom color” in the font color drop-down.
