I have done this before, but I cannot find the appropriate tools in the software. Please help
Obviously, you should be able to edit it after opening it, so I suppose that you want to edit a PDF file. If so, you should include that information in your question. If it’s some other format, you should add that information.
To open a document in LibreOffice Writer:
- Choose Start
- Choose LibreOffice 7.0
- Choose LibreOffice Writer
- Choose File → Open (or choose recent documents to open a document you modified recently)
- Select the file you want to edit
Which type of document do you want to edit? .odt, .doc, docx, .txt, .pdf? Or other?
As you have Writer in your title but pdf as a tag there it’s some confusion.
If you want to make some small edits to a pdf, then open Draw, click File > Open , navigate to your pdf and click Open
