I have to enable “track changes: record” every time I open a document. I always want it on. Sometimes I start hammering away at a document and forget that it’s not on.
Editing is all I use LibO for. I can’t find a checkbox in Options to enable it by default – I need one!
Track changes is a document property. All such properties should be setup using templates. So basically you create a new empty document, enable change tracking, and save the result as template (and make it the default template).
It doesn’t work with existing documents. If you also want to ensure you have it enabled for existing ones, you’d need a macro.
