To enlarge the window in which Writer is displayed depends on your operating system, like Ubuntu, MacOs, Windows… There should be a icon on the top bar to do this. then no other software will be shown on the screen, beside Writer.
Another way to respond to this question is to use View>Full Screen or Shift+Ctrl+J. Then the document will fill in completely the window in which Writer is displayed, with no Writer menu bars, icon bars, status bars…
So using both methods described here above will display the document in full screen.
