In view I only seam to be able to do the first one! I have tried to highlight the firs two but does not work.
I found this:- Did not work before!
Select the row below, or the column to the right of the row or column that you want to be in the frozen region. All rows above, or all columns to the left of the selection are frozen. âŠ
Choose View - Freeze Cells - Freeze Rows and Columns. To deactivate, choose View - Freeze Cells - Freeze Rows and Columns again.
Great!. This solves the issue for me. Thanks (y)
Thanks. Iâm coming over from Google Sheets, itâs the little things that are different. Iâm going to have to redirect the âintuitionâ
(At of 6.4.6.2) the menu option for âfreeze rows and columnsâ does exactly (and only) what it says. It freezes both the row and column. If you are trying to freeze a specific axis (only row or only column - and not the first), then it appears you need to highlight the row or column and use the context menu (right-click) for that specific row or column.
Iâm running Libre 7.1.5.2. I can only freeze the first row. I want to freeze the first two rows and have them print on each page. Regardless how many rows I select, it only freezes the first row. What am I doing wrong?
You are not reading the answer, to which you are commenting. The answers clearly tells:
You should not select rows that you need frozen; you need to put the cursor below the last frozen row.
Click in row 3 - select Window | Freeze

The problem is that there is no âfreezeâ in Windows anymore
In LibreOffice 5.0, there is a menu button that looks like for this purpose. The label for this button is âFreeze Panesâ.
So, one needs to select a particular column or a row and click on this icon, and all the columns to the left of this column or all the rows above this row will be frozen.
The menu option for this is under Windows > Freeze
If you select a cell in the middle and click on âFreeze Panesâ button, all the rows above this cell and all the columns to the left of this cell will get frozen.
LibreOffice 6.2.8.2.
An Example: Freezing 4 rows (above) :
- Select an entire row by click on the sheetâs row number 5. (do not select Ă row by click and slide !)
- Then right click on the fifth row number (in the Left column wich/whose is not part of the spreadsheet)
- A " menu/list " appears, click on " Freeze Rows and Columns ", Done !
Iâve Tried in the main bar the option : Main bar > View > Freeze Cell> Freeze First Row⊠didnât work. Only the first row was freezed !
You should say " heâs stupid ", you right. But why click on ? > Freeze Rows and Columns ? not obvious, (If I need more than one Freezed row ? Why clicking on " Rows AND Columns " ???)
You can also : Repeat upon [1.] then : Main bar > View > Freeze Rows and Column, worked as well !
Clear the Freezing :
It could happend that thereâs already a row('s) kind of " Freeze formatting" ! and you should/want delete it.
So :
- Select any Row (in the Rowâs left Column) by click
- Then right click on the menu list : " Freeze Rows and Columns > it will clear all the formatting about the Freezing.

PLEASE NOTE ---- You need to select the row BELOW the one you want to freeze
