I just installed v.6. I opened an old file that had some text frames and followed the (old) help directions to link two frames. The frames were empty. I clicked on the edge of the first (source) frame, clicked on the link symbol on the Frame bar. Then when I placed the cursor on the target frame, I got a “not” symbol (circle with a diagonal line) and when I clicked on the target, the target was not linked to the source frame. I’ve done this in previous versions. Is there a bug in the new version, or have I missed something?
I cannot confirm your statement. Linking frames in Writer 6 is as in previous versions. The target frame must be empty.
You have to move the mouse pointer into the inside of the target frame, border is not enough.
