How do I make a shortcut that increases or decreases the size of the text?

I’ve been trying to make a shortcut to increase/decrease the text with Ctrl+shift+./Ctrl+shift+, (respectively) but have been unsuccessful in doing so.
What is the method for doing it?
This is for Libreoffice Writer
Thanks,

You don’t say what OS and LO version you are using. But with Windows 7/LO 6.0 I think there is already a shortcut that might do what you want. Try selecting some text and press Ctrl+] to enlarge it and Ctrl+[ to reduce it. A little oddly, however, this doesn’t seem to work if you want to change the size of unselected text as you type (eg as Ctrl+B toggles bold as you type).

I hope this helps.

An afterthought

You might also find the Q&A at How do I increase the font size via shortcut or button? useful. It gives a much fuller discussion than I do above.

Well Mostly,
I’ve reconfigured the shortcut and was wondering why it wasn’t working, but the information that you have just given me is very useful.
Thanks!

P.S. I’m using the latest stable release of LO (5.1.2?) and using Windows 10

Your welcome. And thank you, it is nice to hear that our suggestions have been useful.
