I am trying to make two columns for a shopping list. There used to be a “columns” button but no longer. I tried selecting tables-insert-columns but it will not highlight the selection or allow me to add columns. I recently updated to 6.0. THis is a text document in LO Writer.

From the toolbar, look for Format → Columns….
If you want to add this to your toolbar, so you’ll have a “button”, then go to Tools → Customise → Toolbars, then on the left side of the panel, choose from Category drop-down, Format → Columns. You then use the big arrow button in the middle to add to a toolbar on the right side of the panel: choose which toolbar you want to add it to, (“Format” is a good one), and click the middle arrow. Use the up/down arrows at the far right to position it on the toolbar.

Thanks, I put it on the toolbar. It was not an available option on the regular click on FORMAT-COLUMNS.
Sorry about using wiki - error on my part. I am old and get things messed up occasionally.
