How do I open L_O for the first time

I have just downloaded & installed L_O version 4.3.4. I am using WinXP as an O/S at present.
How do I get L_O to open, so I can put a shortcut on to the desktop & start practisng & using it?

Acutually during the installation LibO offeres you to place an icon on your desktop. If you don’t find one you can do the following:

I assume that your programs are in the standard drive C:

Open C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\program search in this folder for soffice.exe, right click > Send to > Desktop

This creates an icon on the desktop, click it and LibO starts.
