How do i remove page numbers and sheet numbers

I want to remove page numbers from the sheets I print.

And in which application? Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Base, Math?

You tagged common, which means all of them. So retag to tell which one you are using. After retagging, type a space so that you are not close to any tag and press Enter twice to exit retag mode.

Also edit your question to mention OS name and LO version. This helps a lot.

Sheets only exist in spreadsheet (Calc) documents.
Page numbering for spreadsheet documents is very special. It only is possible using a Header or a Footer. Headers and footers are part of the page style.

Go >Format> Page Style...>Header or >Footer
Disable Header and/or Footer OR >>> Edit these element and remove unwanted fields.

“Header” and “Footer” refers to Tabs in the Dialog

In 3.5 y now nobody told a reason to assume @ Linda2 had well considered the usage of the tag common which means “concerning many or all component types”. I will now change it to calc.
