How do I revert back to the previous build?

I was just updated to Ver 25.8.04.4 on a Windows 10 x86_64. How do I revert back to the previous version?

This recent change has caused large sections of text to have a white/cream highlight which does not exist on any of the font styles I use.
I can make changes to remove the highlight but there is no consistency as to whether it works. Also after I make a change and somehow the highlight is removed, then as soon as I scroll down, the highlight will return, but reverse the scroll and it goes away.
When I add new text to a document it is now highlighted as well and cannot be removed.
I am so frustrated by not being able to determine the actual cause of the highlighting nor how to successfully remove it, that I want to revert back to the previous build.

The version number is 25.8.0.4 really. You can uninstall the LO from Windows by usage of the

  • Windows ControlPanels - Programs/Services
  • LibreOffice installer file (Install/Repair/Remove). You can find the installer files of the previous/older versions on the Archive page, which is available from the Download page: Index of /libreoffice/old

Important: It is better to delete (or at least rename) the User Profile directory of the LibreOffice after uninstallig a version. The LO will create a new User Profile at the first running of the reinstalled version.

Before reverting, see if this works:
Click Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View and tick the box Force Skia software rendering. Allow LibreOffice to restart and see if the problem is resolved

If you wish to go back to a previous version: Switch off automatic updates first!
