How do I save a LibreOffice spreadsheet into a format recognisable by Excel 2003 ?
Click File>Save as
For Excel: select Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP/2003 (.xls)(*.xls)
For Word: select Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP/2003 (.doc)(*.doc)
For PowerPoint: select Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP/2003 (.ppt)(*.ppt)
To save them in these formats by default, click Tools > Options > Load/Save > General
Select the Document type from the last dropdown and the associated type (… 97/2000/XP/2003)
ok, a window appears that asks me to save either in current or odf format. I enter current, and a window comes up that says 'the document has one or more passwords that cannot be exported…I notice there is an option to remove the password. Is this safe? Will I lose any data or function?
That prob has been rectified after removing the passwords, thanks for your help! Also I need to save a TEMPLATE into a format recognisable by microsoft excel 2003. What format do I save it in?
