how do i select a single cell from a database range only once from multiple drop down boxes?

I have selected a range containing six elements and I would like to be able to select each element only once from six different drop down boxes. Once an element has been selected, I don’t want the other drop down boxes to be able to select that element as it is considered “taken”.
