How do i show thumbnails in impress normal view

I have the same version of LibraOffice installed on two laptops both with the latest windows 10 os. When using Impress on one laptop it shows the slide thumbnails on the left pane but the other laptop will not show the thumbnails. Is there a setting I should change?
