Hi @des1517,
Looks like there’s an APA template available on the templates site:
Please give that a try and let us know how it works for you!
@manj_k asked that I try out the APA template, so here we go:
I downloaded the template file and opened it in LO 4.0. The template looks quite nice, and includes notes in the margin on how to match the APA style.
I need to make my bibliography comply with APA formatting. How do I do that?
Speaking specifically about the Bibliography, the template includes some good examples and explicitly mentions the hanging indent style specified (I presume) by the APA style.
The Bibliography also references a guide to APA formatting, which might be of further help with any corner-cases or nuances:
Good luck!
@manj_k – Ah, I see, you were quoting me. The glare in here is really bright and I couldn’t see that bg color behind the quote. I thought you were asking me to test out the template, which seemed a little odd, but I was happy to oblige…
Side Note: I didn’t find a page in our online help with info about formatting LO docs/bibliographies in the most common paper styles. Such a page might be helpful.
@qubit1 – Sorry, it was not available two hours ago (“Releases: No release found”). Now there has been a change (“This is the first release.”, and an additional “Warning”).
@manj_k – Hmm… that’s really weird. I believe I saw the release listed last night, and the release date is from 2011: “Released Oct 20, 2011”.
Do you think there might be something wrong with the template site? Maybe some kind of caching issue?
