How do i view nonbreaking space in writer?

Hi,

I have just updated to lo 25.8.1.1 x86 64 on my win10 laptop.
In my much earlier version non-breaking space showed up as grey, making it easy to see at a glance which spaces were regular and which were non breaking, but in 25.8 all are appearing as regular (white) space.
How can i make non breaking spaces appear grey as they used to do?
Thanks
/Gary

Do you have View | Formatting Marks turned on? This is non breaking spaces entered using Ctr+Shift+Space. The colour of the highlighting I have set via Tools | Options | LibreOffice | Appearanceand editing Field Shadings in the Customisation drop-down.

Globally, enable View>Formatting Marks.

You can finely control which marks are displayed in Tools>Options, LO Writer>Formatting Aids in Display Formatting section.

Perfect. At first i couldn’t find options in tools because the document was not full screen and was positioned too near the bottom. It was only when i moved the window further up the screen that options became available. I did notice what appeared to be a continuation downarrowhead at the bottom of the menu but clicking on it didnt bring up the hidden menu entries. Ive since worked out that the mouse wheel works for that, so all hunky dory. Thanks!
