How do you copy multiple page to a libre writer page?

I am trying to copy multiple items to a libre writer page and all it does is keep pasting over the previous document?? how does one fix that

it wasnt in overwrite mode, but it is really weird, you can paste above something previously pasted, but not below, it still over writes.

• If you have anything selected on the receiving page, a paste will overwrite it
• Check in the status bar at the bottom of the screen if you are in overwrite mode, if so click the Ins key, or click the status bar at that point and change to insert.
