I have a 3000 row range that is autofiltered but it takes far too long to sort on columns with autofilter.
I had the entire sheet selected but now I am just selecting the data and resetting the filter on/off and that worked for a bit but now it is painfully slow again.
Pretty much done with this program unless this can be remedied. it’sa basic function that shouldn’t take long - it doesn’t in real excel

I think you have build in one ore more bugs in your dokument. Or you are working with an old PC within only little RAM. According to experience I’m tapping the first.
I have a price list with an area [A1:AB56680], on Mac mini M4 with only 16GByte RAM any sorting goes on less than 1 second equal ODS, NUMBERS (macOS), CSV, XLSX. The only event opening an XLSX in NUMBERS will take 15 seconds.
