How does docking the color palette top/bottom in Draw work properly?

I have the problem when dragging the floating color palette in Draw to dock it on top or bottom.

In the wiki I updated the description part, EN and DE.

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Videos/Hidden_Functions_in_Draw#Video_1
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Videos/Hidden_Functions_in_Draw/de#Video_1

The description in the wiki page shows how it should work.

Docking the color palette at the bottom and top rarely works.
When it works, the area where the gray frame is displayed before is very narrow, so it is a real fiddling.
Sometimes nothing happens when the color palette window is dragged to dock at the bottom/top.
Every time it works if the color palette was previously docked left or right.

I can’t make sense of this and think it might be a bug.

If anyone has fun with this and wants to test it out?

Any feedback leading to a solution or bug report would be appreciated.

Tested with two systems:

Not sure if I understood well your question.
For me, the bottom drop area begins 2 pixels into the layers (?) bar, and stops just below it.

The top drop area is 11 pixels height.
The left and right drop areas seems to be greater.

Thank you very much.
Either I didn’t shift far enough or too fast. If you do it very slowly it works.
Still a little tricky.

Can you please change your comment to an answer. Thank you.

The floating palette only could be dragged from its title bar.
Ctrl+double click don’t work in the title bar, but yes in another palette space (not the colors).
By dragging, I can change the position of the docked palette and also undock it, but can’t dock the floating palette.

Only version 7.3.7.2: If the floating palette is resized, it flies to the upper left corner of the program window.
