How does one force a carriage return in calc cell? In Excel you force Line Breaks by (Alt+Enter).
Ex. You have a cell where you want to force a line break inside the cell.

Rather than accepting how the word wrap may format the cell, you want it to look like this:

John Doe
Jane Smith
Fname Lname

While editing text in a Calc cell Ctrl+Enter inserts a hard line break.

(If you want to get line breaks inside calculated text results, you need to concatenate the text with a ...& CHAR(10) &... in the correct place.)
