Hello. I’d like to know how to seach the quotation mark character in find and replace. You can use the CHAR function in formulas when using functions, but I don’t know how to do it in find and replace. I think I should use regular expressions, but I don’t know how.
My LibreOffice version is 7.2.7.2
Regards
Quotation mark characters are ordinary characters which you can find with or without RegEx enabled.
If there are problems: “Typographic” quotation marks won’t be found when searching for straight ones.
Thanks for responding so quickly. I don’t know what you mean by problems. Do you mean problems with the LibreOffice configuration? Unless I checked it incorrectly, the Autocorrect and Regional Options section is fine. Anyway, thanks for the reply, and I’ll keep looking for a solution. Thanks.
No. I just wanted to point you to a possible complication with special settings or uncommon characters used as quotation marks.
Generally I recommend to omit AutoCorrect what I rather see as AutoMessup.
If quotation marks must be "left(open)" or "right(close)" like parentheses I suggest to use the French version: «- - -». We should abandon “national” stupidities.
