How to add and subtract certain days to or from a date in libreoffice calc?
(DD/MM/YYYY)+Or-(DD)
12/01/2013 + 05
Well, just add them…
- A1: 2013-01-12
- A2: 5
- A3:
=A1+A2
=> 2013-01-17
And, if this is not working, check if your cell contains text instead of a date, wich is a number of days since the beginning of th 20th century in Calc. YOU may recognize a date, Calc may not.
In addition to @Wanderer comment, you can use value highlighting to identify text. To convert text to numeric see Faq/Calc/How to convert number text to numeric data - The Document Foundation Wiki
But you have posted this as a solution. Please delete your non-answer and repost as a comment. Also, see the comments by @Wanderer and @EarnestAl above for the solution to your problem. I3 almost certainly contains text.
Hi robleyd,
sorry, I’m new to this , did not realize how to bring my problem forward…
In the absence of a tool to do that I think it is bad advice. The post and the reply were useful.
