How to add fonts. Using Mint Linux

Hi, I wanted to add a font, Black Chancery, to my Open Office. I can’t see how, and the help function tells me many things, but not how to add fonts.

Also, it would be great to have a “script” type font among the choices.

Otherwise, fabulous program, I love it, and promote it.

I didn’t want to replace fonts, unless there is a limit to how many fonts are available, just add. I could replace, since I don’t speak all the Asian languages on offer, but if that is the only way to add, the help section should say so explicitly. Not sure why this is all in English, and the robo-check is in Portuguese. Lucky I know what a fachada de loja is.

You need to add the font using your OS - a quick search on Google turned up two articles which may help - Linux Mint - Community and Linux Mint - Community

Once you have installed the font(s) you need, you’ll need to restart LO so it recognises the new fonts.

Edit:
If you are using KDE as your window manager, you may have a tool called Font Management which you can also use to add fonts to your system.

Of course you need to find and download the fonts you need if using this tool
