I created my own toolbar. I need to make some of its elements more conspicuous, glaring. LO 5.1.0
There may well be a more elegant way to change Toolbar font colours, but I don’t know it. This is my approach.
It is possible to change the toolbar font colour as is done when you add headers and footers by using a Firefox/Thunderbird Personas. When I load my own offline Personas I change the colour using expert mode, which you could try if you are comfortable with this type of modification. You should backup your configuration before attempting the following.
On Linux-Mint I choose TOOLS > OPTIONS > ADVANCED > EXPERT CONFIGURATION > then SEARCH for PERSONASETTINGS. Edit the MISC setting. The THIRD field after two ; which starts with a # contains six hexadecimal numbers (0-9,a-f) is a font colour setting (#rrggbb) (red, blue, green) where #000000 is black #ffffff is white and every colour in between. Change this setting to the one you want, EDIT, change, OK and restart LibO. The toolbar colours will have changed.
It would be a good idea to use the OPTION > COLOUR menu to play with the colours first to choose a suitable colour first before attempting the change, How can we find CMYK colour percentages in Libra Office? documents this function. Anyway have a go if this helps your problem…Peter
Thank you, Peter. Will try.
Apparently, this method is appropriate to change colours for ALL toolbar elements, but I need to distinguish one or two elements only. So I need other solution. Thank you very much anyway.
