How to change number of columns in a text box
Not at all - a text box element does not have columns. So please specify, which module you are interested in (Writer, Impress, Draw) and retag your question accordingly. In general:
- Writer: Use sections (
Insert -> Section) - or- frames (Insert -> Frame) - Draw: Use tables (
Insert -> Table) - Impress: Use tables (
Insert -> Table)
I’m assuming Writer. Rather than a text box, you should normally use a Frame. Text boxes are quite limited.
In Writer the simplest way is to click Insert > Frame > Frame interactively and draw your frame where you want it. Right-click on the frame, select Properties from the context menu and then in the resulting dialog box, the tab labelled Columns. Enter the number of columns and spacing, etc.
