I add to my sheet a form control (checkbox) and define a linked cell. Everything works ok, but when I copy a whole sheet and rename it, a form control in new sheet linked to cell in old sheet. I would like to my copied form control in new sheet linked to cell in new sheet. Is there any way to define this?
Hi
This is an old request because the function you are describing is inherited from OpenOffice. At that time, I only found the following steps (each step must be respected):
- Select the relevant columns by clicking on their headers
- Copy
- Create a new spreadsheet
- Select (or create) the sheet of the same rank (for example, if the sheet to be duplicated is the second sheet of the original spreadsheet, select the second sheet of this temporary spreadsheet). The sheet name can be anything, again it is the position in the spreadsheet that matters.
- Paste
- Save this spreadsheet, Close and then Reopen the spreadsheet (these steps are necessary)
- Select columns to duplicate (by clicking on their headers), then copy
- Back in the start spreadsheet
- The target sheet must have the same rank (here in 2nd position)
- Paste, Save & Reload
All this is longer to describe than to execute as shown in this short video (in French).

Thanks for your answer.
Why is this so complicated? Is any other option to have some checkbox in my Clac spreadsheet, which i can copy to another sheet without so complicated operations like this? Maybe i can a $ this link somehow?
Hi @MarshalM
If I knew an option to solve this case I would not have had the perversity of giving a more complex procedure
My procedure involves several steps but it takes only a minute or two, compared with the work of changing each control (there may be tens).
Hopefully someone else will be more inspired than me, but I note that for now nobody offers anything …

I’m really thankful for your advice. I’m only wondering why there is no option to $ linked cell
