How to decrease width of input line?

Is there any way in libreoffice calc to decrease the width of the input line box?

Currently, we can adjust its height only: by hovering below the formula bar, “resize vertical” icon will appear, then we can drag down or up to the desired height.

My use case:
I use calc for general day logging, so naturally I have many long text cells.
And I would like to view their content in input line.
But input line being very long makes the content of the cell unreadable because of very long lines (as science says, for good readability line length should be less than 100 characters).

If I decrease the width of the libreoffice window, then the input line width also decreases and that’s exactly how I want it to be decreased BUT without needing to decrease the window width.

Hi. I have standing advice on these sort of scenarios. Use a second window. The menu bar has the Window>New option. Once you have a new window “version” of the spreadsheet, resize it to your liking. Then use PowerToys or a similar tool for your OS to fix the smaller window “always-on-top”, or, if you can give up some space for the “big” window, even use a side-by-side feature from your OS. Here is a screen shot of this in action:

How this idea makes any sense? I will be interacting with and browsing the full screen window, the cell selection on the full screen window will be different than the cell selection in the “always-on-top” window. So, I will not be able to view the cell I am at in the lesser width input line box.

Envisioning a workflow where you were examining content from a limited range of the “big” window, and yes, you would just scroll to the cell on the “small” window. Someone here might know how to set up correlation between the two windows.
