How to disable "clickability" of cross-references in Writer

When I work with cross-references in my document, every time I accidentally click on it, the document jumps to the reference. This is really annoying, when you just try to modify the reference.

I would like to change this behavior to jump only if I ctrl-click it. I know it is possible with hyperlinks https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/how-to-prevent-libreoffice-from-opening-the-browser-when-clicking-on-a-link/2756, but is it possible with cross-references?

I know how to do it in a TOC or index table but didn’t find a way for cross-refs, even searching through expert configuration (but I’m no expert ;-))

I agree with @ajlittoz: AFAIK, it’s not possible. If you think such feature is important, please consider filling a feature request asking for it (and share the link!).
