How to display -h in command prompt

I am currently in the process of debugging docsplit using libre office to convert a word document to a PDF in Windows10 and part of it is trying to extract the first line of the LibreOffice -h output to determine if LibreOffice or open office is being used.

It appears though that even when trying to run in headless mode the -h option opens the help in a spash screen rather than to the command prompt, is there anyway to get it to display there instead?
