I found out how to enable the macro recorder, but it’s only enabled in Calc.
How do I enable it in Base?
For those looking in, to enable macros for Calc, use:
menu Tools | Options…
expand tree LibreOffice > Advanced
In Optional Featues, select [√] Enable macro recording (may be limited)
Yes its the very limited feature-set which causes the decision: only available for writer and calc
