How to fill date series in table in Writer

It’s fairly easy to fill date series in Calc, but how to do that in Writer? I even tried creating it in Calc and then pasting (in multiple ways with cmd+shift+v) but non worked.

Copy (from Calc) and paste works for me:
LibreOffice 7.5.9.2 (and maybe in all 7 versions).

What does it paste? In my case it’s plain text without any tabular structure.

Tell us how you paste the clipboard contents. If the regular pasting does not sufficiently work so try other formats (HTML; RTF).

In Writer only:

  1. Create a Table
  2. Select column A and click Table > Number Format and choose Date and preferred date format, e.g. YYYY-MM-DD
  3. In cell A1 enter the starting date, e.g. 2023-12-25
  4. In cell A2 type = the formula bar will open. Click cell A1, then type +1 Press Enter
  5. Select the entire cell A2 (select beyond A2 boundary and then draw back until just cell A2 is highlighted
  6. Click Edit > Copy
  7. Select all the cells below A2 and then click Edit > Paste
