Do you need to paste the formula or just want to paste the number?
Perhaps you copied and pasted a formula with relative references, and in the cell you pasted it in, those relative references point to invalid values?
If you only want to copy and paste the value of a cell only, then instead of using normal Paste, you should use Paste Unformattxed Text (Shift Ctrl Alt V).
