How to get a coloured background to text?

Hello,

the answer depends on which element should have a background color:

Complete Page Background

View -> Styles
Click icon Page Styles (4th icon beneath Styles)
Right click on Default Page Sytle -> New
Tab: Organizer provide a name (e.g. PageBG) and the Next Style (for the following page)
Tab: Area define the desired color
Click OK
Double click the new Page Style to assign to the current page of your document (+ what you defined in Next Style)

Paragraph Background

View -> Styles
Click icon Paragraph Styles (1st icon beneath Styles)
Right click on Default Paragraph Sytle -> New
Tab: Organizer provide a name (e.g. ParagraphBG) and the Next Style (for the following Paragraph)
Tab: Area define the desired color
Click OK
Double click the new Paragraph Style to assign to the current paragraph of your document

Single Character(s) Background

View -> Styles
Click icon Character Styles 2nd icon beneath Styles)
Right click on Default Character Sytle -> New
Tab: Organizer provide a name (e.g. CharacterBG)
Tab: Highlighting define the desired color
Click OK
Double click the new Character Style to assign to the current selected characters (words) of your document
