Running Libre Office 6.0.7.3 on an iMac with OS X 10.14.5.
I also have Java installed at /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home
When I try to run the Base Database I get this error:
How do I get Libre Office to recognize this java installation?

It appears you have a fairly old version. First upgrade - see How to install Java (JRE/JDK) so that LibreOffice could use it?

I installed the latest version of Java JDK as you suggested and it is now working.
