How to get new custom caption for images?

I have tried making a new caption for images with name “Figure” instead of “Illustration”.

But how can this be added?

How to find captions:

Click on scrollbar on top left corner, select “more” in bottom. This gives you Styles and Formatting window. In Styles and Formatting window, I rightclicked on “Caption” and pressed “new”. Set custom font, name and all that. It now shows up under “Captions” in this window.

But when right-clicking an image and selecting “captions” from that menu, it only lists the standard ones in Category: None, Drawing, Illustration, Table, Text.

Where to find the one I made? Why doesn’t that show up with the other captions?

When you insert a caption, you will see a window which shows by default the “Illustration”. Just click into this word, select it and overwrite it with your word “Figure”. The word “Figure” will be stored.

As for the Style I assume that you mean the “paragraph style” for caption. When you right click and select new, the name is “Untitled” by default. You need to enter the name you want to have for your style. If you want all captions following this style, make sure that “Next Style” shows the name you gave to that style.

If you have more questions, I recommend to provide screenshots.
