How to get Writer to remember search targets for next session

Working on a large text document in Writer, I can search for (say) “Bug report” and edit the section. Then I can search for (say) “Linux commands”, read some text, then use Search to return to “Bug report” easily. All my recent search texts are available in the Find window by using the arrow keys.

When I save the document and close Writer, how can I get Writer to save those search texts? When I re-open the document tomorrow to continue editing, they have all vanished - but I will often need to re-visit the same locations in the document that I used yesterday.

If this is currently impossible, could it be added as an option in the Save dialog box?

To repeatedly go to specific text positions, chapters, bookmarks… you will use the naviagtor.
To repeat searches in later sesions, you may collect the search stiings in a bookmarked place, and use a few clicks and Ctrl+H to get to the F&R what you need.
If search texts were stored across sessions, there would also be things to manage.
The appropriate place for bug reports and enhancement requests is:

Thanks for the suggestion.

Like most people using Writer simply to edit documents, I am not familiar with the sophisticated Navigator resource. Also, when editing a long document, one does not continually revisit fixed locations: one simply needs to continue using the last few locations. This would require endless new bookmarks.

I will present this request as an enhancement. Thanks.

The navigator isn’t sophisticated at all. It’s just a collection of trees visualized in the sidebar. Bookmarking is really simple, and to remove (delete) a bookmark you just need to hit Del. I wouldn’t expect the filing of an enhancement request to be simpler, and surely you need to expect it to not be resolved (within reasonable time).
