I made a small block diagram with Draw that I want to put into my presentation. Seems simple right? Well… not with LibreOffice…
Thing I tried:
-
Select drawing, ctrl+c. Then go to Impress and hit ctrl+v.
This screws up the location and (font) size of text and connectors. -
In Impress go to Insert > Picture > From file…
Can’t select .odg. -
In Impress go to Insert > File. Then I can select the .odg. Then I get the following question: “The format of the new pages will be adopted. Do you want to adopt the objects, too?”
I have no clue what it meant by that, but either picking “yes” or “no” gives my a drawing with moved connectors and oversized text. It just looks like crap.
What I’m doing now as a last resort: In Draw export it as .jpg. Then import it in Impress, crop the image (lots of white space) and resize/reposition. I have to repeat this for every little modification.
Can someone please tell me an easier method?
