How to insert index of illustration in LO Writer, Version: 7.0.4.2 (x64) - in the older versions there were an option in index insertion toolbox. In ver. 7.0.4.2 there is no such an option.
I’ve got an answer:
“If you have added captions by right-clicking on the image and selected Add caption then that numbering and captions can be made into a table of figures.
Click where you want the table to be. In the menu click Insert > Table of Contents and Index > Table of Contents, Index or Bibliography.
In the dialog that opens, select the tab Type, under the heading Type and Title there is a drop down box labelled Type, select Table of Figures. Click OK or make other changes.
This works in my LO 7.0.4.2 (x64), Windows 10 20H2.”
Thanks!
When I insert new photos it works, but the problem is if I copy photos from an older file. In that older file photos have captions and illustration index. After pasting it into a new file it seems to be not seen as illustrations or figures and I cannot generate this index or table (why do You change the names: index into table and illustration into figures? the meaning is similar, but it’s problem when You are looking for something). It’s very frustrating and timeloosing activity to rewrite captions manually, to set formating etc. Maybe there is a possibility to do it automatically?
