When I insert a music file into a slide it deletes everything else in the slide.
What I’m trying to do is insert music into a presentation not just a slide.
To play a song across slides
On the Insert tab, select Audio, and then Audio on My PC.
In the file explorer, locate the music file you want to use and then select Insert.
You can directly convert sc to mp3 and listen to your favorite music offline anywhere and anytime you want.
With the audio icon selected on the slide, on the Playback tab, select Play in Background.
Play in Background makes the audio file start automatically during a slide show and also makes the audio play across multiple slides.
Hi
To have a sound file play throughout the presentation:
- Place it on the slide where you want it to start playing;
- In the
Side bar
, clickSlide Transition
; - On the Sound dropdown list (under Modify transition), select Other Sound… A dialog box will open.
- Browse to the desired file and open it.
The sound will continue playing until another sound file is opened.
Regards
Before linking the music files as Pierre-Yves has indicated, be sure that all the files are in the same folder as the presentation. Then, when you move presentation and music files together onto the memory stick, they will still be linked. Likewise when you mover them off the stick to another computer. (I think when P-Y says ‘place it on the slide …’ he refers to placing the focus of impress on that slide.)
Success! But only with certain music files. Some mp3 files will work, and some won’t.
Perhaps we need some tutorials on how to tell which mp3 files will work in LibreOffice 6. And how to put them on the memory stick alongside the Impress file, so that the project can be called up on a different computer.
Thanks.
Can you attach example MP3 files which do not work, and do work?
Like to examine the structure of the files.
