How to install dictionary or not displayed?

Hello,

No dictionary seems to be present or spellchecking engine not working.
When pression f7 to do spellcheck no dictionary is present, only english. Even when making mistakes in english they are not corrected.

I went to tools—extensions (or whatever the name is) and added the
french dictionary at https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/dictionnaires-francais
and
the spanish at https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/spanish-dictionaries

it still doesn’t work. The dictionaries are displayed in the extensions but don’t work.

libreoffice-help-fr , es and en-us are installed
libreoffice-l10n-fr, es and en are also installed.

Make sure the text is attributed with the language to spell-check in. Check status bar language field and use right click context menu to change, or menu Format → Character → Font, Language.

thank you. I added some dicionaries and removed them, then rebooted (not just close application) then started writter and it seems it worked. Your solution also works, so many thanks.

Is there a reason why only 2 languages are displayed in the righ-click on statusbar language field?
This also happens in Tools → Language -->for (selection,paragraph, all text)
