I want to install LibreOffice as a standalone application on a chromebook. Model Acer 730 Chromebook 11
What am I to do? Isn’t there a ready-made installer- just to download and run it? Can you help me?

Go to settings and enable the Chromebook Beta. You cannot install LibreOffice unless you do this. Now open a terminal. Type in “sudo apt-get install libreoffice” (without the ") and it will give you LibreOffice 5. This will NOT update to LibreOffice 6 because the correct repository is not yet added. For all linux apps you use the terminal to install.

@JackyAnn Thank you for your help, I believe that I got it. I had forgot about installing with the terminal. Now to research what other distro’s I can use.
